Monthly Lessons Series: November 2020

I have decided as the judge and jury of this blog to write about one lesson I learn each month. So for this month, I chose a lesson that I have had to learn over and over.

LESSON – BE THOROUGH

Meaning: taking pains to do something carefully and completely.

In every aspect of my life, I am learning to be thorough, in studying God’s word, work, relationships and enjoyment. I am not fully there yet, I am taking it one question at a time, one annoying customer at a time, one conversation at a time, and one blog post at a time.

I’m learning to ask questions, to think before I speak, to mean the compliments I dish out, and to stand my ground if I do not agree with a notion.

I’m learning slowly that when one is not thorough, you live room to be misinterpreted, a lot of time is wasted trying to get details that should already be in place, avoidable unnecessary mistakes are made, your peace of mind can be affected and somebody always gets in trouble.

The trick is to remember that it is a process, you won’t get there overnight, take it one task at a time. In a case where you miss the mark on one occasion, dust it off and try again.

I’d love to hear from you, what lesson is one lesson you’ve learnt this month?
